Purple, ridden on estate roads, and not restored back to a showroom.
A mid-seventies Chopper in purple, which was the colour that survived the sunshine better than the catalogues admitted. The seat is long, the front wheel is the small one, and the lever is still on the frame.
Diane Okonkwo bought it from the family who had it first, two streets away in Hackney. It has been oiled and ridden. It has not been taken back to bare metal.
